You can modify MadKudu's Likelihood to Buy scoring model to suit your business needs.
Prerequisites
- You have the permissions of the Admin or Architect role
- You understand how the Likelihood to Buy model works.
Step 1: Edit the weights of some events
- In a model duplicated from your live model, navigate to Model > Event weights
- Edit the Importance (points) or Lifespan (between 1 and 90 days) of the event
- Click Save
Tip: When editing the importance of an event, take into consideration the thresholds between very high, high, medium and low segments (configured in the Thresholds tab). If you allocate 20 points to an event while the threshold between medium and high is at 18, this means that if a lead only does this activity, then it will automatically be scored high on the day they perform this action.
Step 2: Assess the impact of your change
You would want to make sure this change is not boosting or penalizing too many leads in a specific segment, which could degrade the performance of the model.
To compare the impact of the change you just added on the training dataset
- Open the Model>Thresholds tab of the model you made the change to.
- Open in a new tab of your browser the Live PQL model and go to the Model>Thresholds tab.
- Compare the performance.
To compare the impact of the change you just added on the validation dataset
- Open the Review>Performance tab of the model you made the change to.
- Open in a new tab of your browser the Live PQL model and go to the Review>Performance tab.
- Compare the performance.
Step 3: Deploy your changes
Keep these considerations in mind when deploying event weight and lifespan edits:
- All your Leads, Contacts, or Accounts that are usually scored by MadKudu will get rescored with the next batch scoring (see when the next Analysis then Sync process should run in the Processes Page).
- If you have automated workflows (which are outside of MadKudu's control) that are based on the likelihood to buy or lead grade score (eg. a MQL workflow), updating these records' scores may trigger them.
When you are ready, go to the Deployment tab and click Deploy Lead LTB and Lead Grade model. This will replace your current live LTB model.
Well done!
