The Book of Accounts for each user is the set of accounts they can Explore, use the Playbooks on, and receive a Daily Digest about.
AEs are usually the ones marked as the account owner but SDRs/BDRs with them aren't.
For users who are working accounts based on another field than the Salesforce Account OwnerId or who are paired with AEs can still have a book of accounts in MadKudu.
Tip: Making sure the book of accounts is configured correctly for SDRs in particular is critical for them to be able to use MadKudu Copilot.
If your organization uses a specific Salesforce Account field to assign accounts to reps
As an Admin you can configure the book of account for all your users at the team level.
For example:
- SDRs are assigned accounts based on SDR_Owner__c
- AEs based on OwnerID
- CSMs based on CS_Owner__c
You can configure this in the Team section:
- Log into MadKudu app
- Navigated to Settings > Users then click on the Teams tab
If your organization is pairing SDRs with AEs
If your organization is pairing SDRs with AEs without a specific field assignment, each rep can configure this in their personal settings.
Example: Sam, SDR is working on accounts with Adrian, AE. Adrien is the owner via the ownerID.
By default the book of accounts is configured on the ownerID unless you've configured some teams with different ownerships (see above). Sam wouldn't see any accounts in his book of accounts because he has no account assigned to him via ownerID.
In MadKudu Copilot (Chrome extension), in the top right menu in Personal settings > My Book of Accounts he'll need to select Adrian in the list to start using playbooks
Tip: If you have a team mapping AE to SDR you'd want to set up, please send a spreadsheet with each user email, name, salesforce account owner field and / or AEs they are paired with. Please submit to our support team who will configure it for everyone instead of each user having to configure on their own.
