Not receiving alerts in your feed or by email? Here's a troubleshooting guide.
Note: Sales Alerts are available today to customers who have requested their activation during the beta. Please reach out if you'd like to get them activated!
1. If you don't see any alert in your feed, check if you have alerts enabled
Default alerts should already be available and enabled for you on top of any alerts configured for your organization by Ops. To check if you have alerts enabled, either
- in Chrome extension, click on the avatar then Alerts
Tip: If you don't see the Alerts option below, alerts might not have been activated for your company. Please reach out to your CSM or via this form.
You should be able to see alerts configured or create ones.
- If you just enabled or created a new alert, you will receive alert messages in your feed moving forward (not retroactively)
- in the alert configuration page: https://msi.madkudu.com/alertsSettings?tab=alerts
Please note that Tech and Hiring alerts are only sent once a month given MadKudu receives fresh data from partners once a month. (Beginning of the month for Hiring, around mid-month for Techs).
2. If your feed is empty, check your account subscriptions
Alerts are sent based on accounts
- you own (the ownerid in Salesforce is associated to your salesforce user)
- or owned by people you're subscribed to.
As an SDR you may not own any account but you'd want to follow your AE(s)'s accounts
Go to the tab "Subscriptions".
In the example above, John (SDR) doesn't own accounts. So to receive alerts on accounts he works on with Hayden (AE) and Nick (AE), he'll need to select the AEs he is working with
3. Test creating an alert for any activity happening

- Go to your settings > Alerts
- then Create Alert
- select Event type
- Select a trigger like "performing any activity"
- Configure the frequency to Instantly

- Alerts should be processed every hour, so if anything happens on accounts you own or are subscribed to you should start receiving notifications
4. If your feed has notifications but you're not receiving emails
You should be receiving a Daily email with a recap of notifications from the 24h before.
- If you have no notifications in your feed, no email is sent. If your feed is empty but you'd expect some, please try step 1 and step 2 above.
- If you don't receive an email but see messages in your feed, please check your Spam folder in your email.
Otherwise please Contact MadKudu Support sharing the email address you use to connect to MadKudu and we'll check the alerts sent.
If anything else, please Contact MadKudu Support and we'll look into it
