With a dozen to thousands of accounts to handle, it can be hard for SDRs and AEs to know where to spend their time every day and stay on top of key things happening in their accounts. A buyer is visiting your pricing page? An admin is adding 10 new users? The account you thought dead because unresponsive for months is suddenly showing activity?
This is where the Sales Alerts come into play. The Sales Alerts provide your Sales team with real-time, daily, or weekly notifications, enabling them to reach out at the right time and never miss an opportunity!
If you would like to activate the Sales Alerts for your company, please reach out to your CSM or our support team!
Alert types
Alerts can be based on different triggers:
-
Event: actions performed by contacts on your website, product, marketing content
- "A Buyer visited the pricing page"
- "An Admin added 5 new users"
- "4 different people downloaded the ebook"
-
Tech: on new technologies used by companies
- "New competitor tech {tech} detected at {account} you are following"
- "New compatible tech {tech} detected at {account} you are following"
-
Job posting: on new job roles companies are hiring for
- Let's say your product is a development tool specifically for System Reliability Engineer. Your sales can be notified that this company is now hiring for this role
- Spike: on the overall engagement of the account increasing significantly
Based on Accounts that Sales reps own or follow
AEs are usually the ones marked as the account owner but SDRs/BDRs working with them would want to be alerted as well. By default, reps would receive alerts based on account ownership but they can subscribe to other reps' accounts they want to be notified on.
To subscribe to alerts for accounts owned by other people, reps can go
- in the Salesforce iFrame version of the Sales Intelligence or Chrome extension, click on the top right avatar icon > Alerts > Subscriptions
- Select the Salesforce users owning accounts.
Tip: If you have a team mapping AE to SDR you'd want to set up, please send a spreadsheet to support@madkudu.com with a list of reps working together and we can set that up for all reps
Realtime, Daily or Weekly Digests dose of opportunities
Alerts can be configured to send a notification instantly in realtime or grouped in daily or weekly digests.
For example, Sales reps may want to be instantly alerted when a Buyer visits the pricing page while only getting a daily recap of accounts with an engagement spike.
Delivered by Email and in the Alert Feed
Notifications are sent over
- by email
- in the Chrome extension alert feed
- in a feed you can embed in your Salesforce home page (view instructions here to install Alert feed in Salesforce)
Coming soon: Alerts in Slack!
Default alerts
Default alerts are available out-of-the box so your Sales team can stay up to update on their account as soon as they accept their invitation.
The default alerts can be deactivated by reps directly in the Sales Intelligence if they wish.
They can also create new ones individually.

To edit these settings, go to your avatar icon at the top right then Copilot
Coming soon: Organization-wide alerts! As an Ops you'll be able to create alerts specific to your business that would be activated for all reps, let us know at product@madkudu.com what you have in mind!
